42 Apps 8 Million Downloads all part of an Adware campaign

42 apps on the Google Play Store created by a Vietnamese university student were identified by a cybersecurity researchers as containing Adware and connection to a command and control server operated by the developer. These Apps were initially distributed as legitimate applications but later updated to maliciously display full-screen advertisements to their users as he wanted to maximise his profit. To date, there have been around 8 million downloads

If you have any of these apps installed on your Android device you should uninstall them immediately.
